Well, it is finally here! Miss Iowa week has had a great start. This afternoon all of the girls gathered at The Hotel Blackhawk for tea. All the contestants were introduced and were even given the opportunity to speak about their platform. Listening to all of these incredible ladies speak is really inspiring. This inspiration is what the Miss Iowa and Miss America Organization is all about. Having positive role models out in our community supporting what they are most passionate about and truly making an impact.
After the tea we had dinner at the bistro and then we headed to The Clarion Hotel for rehearsal. Everyone is really excited about the production, and we can't wait to finish learning it so that we can perform it on The Adler Stage!

Tomorrow it is off to The Putnam Museum to staff the titanic exhibit! After that we are going to The Fountains Senior Living to perform our talent for the residents. It should be a great day, and I am looking forward to what else is to come later this week!
