Hi Everyone!
It is a really exciting time for Miss Iowa Week! The competition is beginning!
Yesterday was another exhausting day, but never exhausting in a bad way! In the morning we began our first phase of competition, interview. I love the interview competition because it gives you one on one time with the judges to tell them who you are and what you hope to accomplish.
After the interview, we headed to The Adler for our technical talent rehearsal. At first I was upset that I only had one person in the room with me instead of two because they were running ahead of schedule and my second person had not arrived yet. After, however, I realized that this is it! Everything I have worked for is here. I am ready to be Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen, and I hope that over the next couple days the judges can see that. I am so excited to be on that Adler stage in front of everyone showing what I have learned, prepared, and achieved.
That night we had dress rehearsal. This too was a wake up call for me. We are really here!
Tonight is the first night of the preliminary competitions. Teens will have their physical fitness competition and their talent competition. I will blog about that and the rest of the day's activities tomorrow, but for now it is off to The Skip-A-Long Daycare Center for our community service! :)
